Category: architecture. Client: Soe Lin Associates. May 2016. In this shoot, we have both addition by addition and addition by subtraction. Addition: the architect replaced a detached garage with an entirely new wing housing a master suite and living room, with a wall of windows and sliding glass doors bringing the outside in. Subtraction: the photographer removed a table with two highchairs next to the kitchen island, and two upholstered side chairs in the living room to streamline the long view from the kitchen and dining area over to the living room. I think we actually got kind of lucky with the scheduling of this shoot: with a steady rain outside, the vibrant wooded view through the windows was much easier to capture. Needless to say, though, we needed to return for the exterior shots.
